Week12 Critical making & technology

This week we talk about some of The critical thinking behind technological works.

It needs to be suggested in this context that technological developments have led to a diversity of ways of presenting works. Artists are beginning to apply various technological approaches to set out to create an installation or a system. The artist is constantly researching in the process of making, from learning the technology to improving it to the presentation of the final idea.

Garnet Hertz talked about the relationship between critical thinking and its object. He supposed that"several different things can be built to serve several different purposes"" critical and speculative design is a bit more focused on building out the narrative, and is using an object to build a narrative"

The integration of technology into artworks is in line with today's state of technological development, and such a presentation often results in a more striking and interesting experience for the audience than traditional art presentations.

I recently see some artworks from students in Bartlet school of Architecture, UCL. There's a project called Sisyphus and a project called ParalullWhile I wouldn't agree with the criticism behind the first piece(Sisyphus), this is a very influential way of mapping real life with a robotic arm display of Sisyphean mythology and the narrative is very strong throughout.
