Week13
This week we discussed the use of computer technology in everyday life (e.g., environmental issues). This reminds me of some works by using sensors, Arduino and other electronic or physical materials. The artist uses sensory devices to map out the corresponding environment and other issues by combining them with natural objects.
Like the article written by Jennifer, Helen,
and Benjamin Just good enough data: Figuring data citizenships through air
pollution sensing and data stories. use the low-cost and accessible digital technologies to monitor
environments. Monitoring data to allow citizens to perceive the level of pollution
in the environment. then look at the bio-sensing
art in1970s.
It is possible to find the artist beginning
to present a complete work through the medium of art and nature, and then
working with technicians. The artist uses the biological information of natural
creatures as data input signals, which are then used for the next step of
artistic output.
